We took part in the Southwark Diocese Board of Education’s first Christian Aid Big Spring Sing. We value Christian Aid as an important charity because it supports people in need, regardless of their background, appearance, or beliefs. The charity works to address complex global issues and helps communities recover from natural disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, droughts, and the effects of climate change.
At our school, we follow Christian Aid’s example by fundraising and supporting our partner school, M’khalapadzuwa, in Malawi. We help by raising money for essential resources such as stationery, water pumps, and a minibus.
Christian Aid is important to us because it provides vital support to those who are less fortunate. It supplies essential items like books, pens, food, water, and medicine. Thanks to Christian Aid and our school’s fundraising efforts, we helped provide a water pump for the people of M’khalapadzuwa, ensuring they have access to fresh water. We hope to continue raising money so more people can receive the resources they need. (Imogen, Ela, Nil, and Mollie)
