Year 5 are putting together our Wind-turbine as part of the renewable energy project at OWL. We are keen to recycle, reuse, up-cycle and be environmentally conscious and have been awarded a funding grant from The Institute of Physics (IOP) to support the energy project. This term Year 5 will be adding solar panels and connecting up the power and lighting circuits to new battery storage in order to provide free electricity for lighting and sockets in the outdoor classroom.
