Harvest Service

Pupils, parents and staff filled every seat at St John’s Church as children from Reception Class to Year 6 took part in a service of singing, readings, prayers, artwork and more. They shared lots of different messages on how hard farmers work, how thankful we are to God for the gifts from the earth and the importance of everyone looking after our common home. It was wonderful for the school community to come together to celebrate our Harvest Festival. We collected bags of food donations which will benefit people in our community in the coming weeks. Thank you all for your kind donations.

Through whole school assemblies, our children learn about the meaning of harvest, how food banks support local families and how our community can help others. We focussed on Article 24 - the right to good food and clean water.
