As part of British Science Week, we are running a poster competition for Reception to Year 6 children. The theme for the poster is: Change and Adapt. The poster design can be about anything involving change and adaptation.
Pupils could create a poster showing how plants and animals adapt to changing seasons or surroundings, or how humans have adapted to changing technology. They could look at climate change and how we can adapt our behaviours to protect the environment, or their favourite science experiment and how it shows change. The more creative the
interpretation of the theme, the better!
Competition rules:
Posters must be A4 or A3 in size.
You can use pop-up pictures, pull out tabs or use materials such as: pens, pencils, scissors, glue, watercolours, paint, crayons, pipe cleaners, felt, thread, wool, foil, clay, string, beads, stamps, foam, pompoms
Work must be original and created by the child.
Posters must include the following information (on the back):
name and age
year group
We wish that everyone could be a winner, but we only have a limited number of prizes.
Posters will be judged on creativity, how well they fit the theme, how well they have been made or drawn, and how engaging they are.
Once your poster is complete, bring it in to Mrs Skilton (Year 2).
Entries close on Monday 31 March 2025
There are prizes for the top 5 posters. These 5 posters will then be entered into the National British Science Week poster competition and also stand a chance to win a prize!
