Year 5 went to Hampton Court to discover what life was like for Henry VIIII’s court in the Tudor times. Using different methods of enquiry, the pupils learnt how important hierarchy and status was within the Tudor court and how these are reflected in the buildings of the palace. The class met up with Wollesley’s wife in the corridors of the processional route and took a guided journey by one of King Henry VIII’S esteemed laundresses. The class enjoyed their experience and their boat journey up to the Palace!
